How to Measure

Inside Mount

Windows can be slightly uneven. Follow these steps for the best fit.

Width (W)

Measure the inside of the frame at the top, middle, and bottom. Use the smallest measurement and subtract 1/4 inch. If that exact size is unavailable, round down to the nearest size.

Height (H)

Measure the inside of the frame on the left, middle, and right. Use the largest measurement and choose a size that matches or exceeds it.

Depth (D)

A minimum depth of 1 3/4 inches is required. If less, choose an outside mount.

Width (W)

Measure the width of your window, including the trim. Add 1 1/2 inches to each side, then round up to the nearest available size.

Height (H)

Measure from the top of the trim to the bottom. Add 3 inches above and 1 inch below, then select a size that matches or exceeds the total.

Our shades require a minimum of 1 3/4 inches of mounting
depth for a flush Inside Mount. If your window frame is shallower than this, we
recommend an Outside Mount, which installs easily on the wall or trim and
